Abe Forsythe’s Little Monsters — which bears no relation to the 1989 movie of the exact same name– is among the most unexpected funnies of the year. It’s structured from the viewpoint of man-child artist Dave (Alexander England), who curses in front of his nephew, mess up many things in life, and typically declines to develop. Include Lupita Nyong’ o playing Taylor Swift tunes on a ukulele, and Josh Gad as a psychopathic kids’s tv character, and you have a splendidly unusual movie. Oh, and there are zombies. Did I discuss there are zombies?
DIRECTOR: Abe Forsythe
In this remarkably odd funny, Alexander England and Lupita Nyong’ o protect a group of kids from a zombie break out on a school journey.
